Active Nation kicked off the year by hosting a community run in collaboration with 88 Runners, a Bandung-based sports community. The activity reflects Active Nation’s commitment to promoting an inclusive and enjoyable approach to sports through community-based experiences.
The run embraced the idea that sports should be fun and accessible, a value shared by 88 Runners, a community known for its diverse range of activities including running, padel, pilates, and other movement-based workouts.
The session took place along a 5-kilometer route in the Geger Kalong area of Bandung, an area characterized by rolling terrain with a mix of uphill and downhill segments. The varied elevation added a unique challenge and created a refreshing running experience, offering participants a different perspective on morning runs within the city.
Rather than focusing on competition, the run emphasized movement, enjoyment, and togetherness. The route’s dynamic contours contributed to a relaxed yet engaging atmosphere, making the activity both physically stimulating and enjoyable for participants.
Through collaborations with local communities such as 88 Runners, Active Nation continues to build city-based sports experiences that encourage people to move together and connect through shared activities. This run marks an early step in Active Nation’s ongoing journey to activate urban spaces through movement-focused initiatives.
